FarmCue Text Alerts (SMS)
Program operated by Idaho Web Products LLC · Effective October 4, 2026
FarmCue is a farm-operations app where employees report problems (equipment failures, animal-health issues, facility problems) and farm owners route and resolve them. When an urgent issue stays unresolved, FarmCue can send repeat text message alerts so the right people don't miss it. This page explains exactly how that works.
Who receives texts
Only employees of a farm that uses FarmCue, and only after that employee has agreed to receive text alerts. FarmCue does not send marketing, promotional, or advertising messages, and we never text the general public.
How employees opt in
Employees opt in themselves when they join their farm in FarmCue. They scan the farm's QR code and fill in the join form, which asks for their name, role and cell phone number, followed by this consent checkbox. The box is unchecked by default and checking it is not required to join or use FarmCue. The date and time an employee checks it is recorded.
(555) 555-0123
A farm owner or manager can also record an opt-in from the farm's employee settings, but only when the employee has agreed:
- The farm owner or manager opens an employee's profile in the FarmCue dashboard and enters that employee's mobile number.
- The owner confirms that the employee has agreed to receive text alerts by checking the consent box below. FarmCue will not allow text alerts to be enabled for an employee unless a phone number is entered and this box is checked.
- Text alerts start only for employees with both a phone number and a recorded opt-in.
(555) 555-0123
Employees can also opt back in at any time by replying START to a FarmCue alert number after having opted out.
What the messages look like
Alert message:
FarmCue URGENT: Water trough leaking, North Barn still open. Reply 1=on it, 2=fixed. STOP=opt out
Replying to an alert: an employee can reply 1 (or OK) to tell the farm they're handling it, or 2 (or FIXED) when it's done. FarmCue confirms with one short message, for example:
FarmCue: got it, "Water trough leaking" is yours. Reply 2 when it is fixed.
Reply to START:
FarmCue: You're subscribed to urgent issue alerts. Msg freq varies. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.
Reply to HELP:
FarmCue alerts: for help email support@farmcue.com. Reply STOP to opt out.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies. Texts are sent only while an urgent issue assigned to the employee remains unresolved. The first text is sent when the urgent issue is reported. The farm owner chooses how often a reminder repeats (from once a minute to once an hour), and FarmCue sends at most 6 texts per issue (the last one says so). When the issue is resolved, the texts stop.
Cost
FarmCue does not charge employees to receive alerts. Message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply.
How to opt out
Reply STOP to any FarmCue text at any time. You'll receive a confirmation and no further texts. You can also ask your farm's owner or manager to turn off your text alerts, or email support@farmcue.com. For help, reply HELP or email the same address.
Your information
We use mobile numbers only to send FarmCue alerts. We do not sell, rent, or share mobile numbers or opt-in information with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text delivery is handled by our messaging provider, Twilio, which processes numbers and messages only to deliver them. See our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
